As a French Landscape Architect, I'm going to visit and evaluate more than 45 green roofs in the United States. In this blog you can follow my trip, view photographs, and read my comments about the roofs as I visit them. Enjoy!

Hello Guillaume,
I really enjoyed looking at and reading your blog.
As a European where green roofs, walls and other vegetated surfaces have been a part the architecture vernacular for many years, you are a one of small, but growing handful who have chosen to come to the US to explore the early results of what is a very recent phenomenon here. This is very encouraging to all of us who are trying to replicate some of the European successes on American soil.
It would be fascinating indeed to hear your insights on the different approaches to green roof development in Europe and the US and your thoughts on which aspects of European green roof design experience can be successfully transferred to the US to accelerate their wider adoption here.
Also, do you plan to visit any green roofs in the New York City area? If so, perhaps we can meet to discuss your impressions in greater detail as this is where I am based.
Thanks a lot for your time and good luck!
Thor Hartten
hey you're cute
